“Forget a man’s name and he’ll forgive you. Remember it, and he’ll defend you forever.”

★★★★ (3.5 / 5 stars) WOW. This book moved a lot slower than the first two in the series, but WHAT AN ENDING. There were still many-a-plot-twist that broke my bloodydamn heart and many characters to mourn.

It was interesting to see Darrow’s time in The Jackal’s hands haunt him throughout the story, and I almost wish we’d seen that more, the way we did with another quickly-freed prisoner.

I also wish there had more between Darrow & Mustang because I find it hard to believe they spent so much time traveling and working together without much meaningful conversation, but taking it easy on that relationship was a trend in this trilogy, so...*shrug*.

I highly recommend this Saga overall, and the audiobook narrator is FAN-bloody-TASTIC!
