“Launching While Female” by Susanne Althoff • Book Review
★★★★ (3.5 / 5 stars) Everything about this book, from the cover to the title to even the subtitle, led me to believe this would be an actionable guidebook for aspiring and active women entrepreneurs. That was simply not the case.
I came away with a lot of information and not a lot of guidance on what to DO with that information other than digest it. If anything, this book has served as a guide to women entrepreneur role models, prominently featuring the women who made it despite the hurdles they faced.

★★★★★ (5 / 5 stars) I absolutely adored this book. It has all the wonderful makings of a great self-help, with clear, actionable steps and personal stories & examples. But more than that, the book is such a refreshing, modern take on the typical job-search advice.
“Success Is Easy” by Debbie Allen • Book Review
★★★★★ (5 / 5 stars) Success Is Easy is the modern Think and Grow Rich with a Debbie Allen twist.
She packs the same punch Napoleon Hill is admired for time and time again—with the added cherry-on-top of her modern approach to “shameless self-promotion” and tackling the imposter syndrome that social media and FOMO has infused into our society.
“Do the KIND Thing” by Daniel Lubetzky • Book Review
“Don’t be afraid to fail. Be afraid not to try.”
★★★★★ (5 / 5 stars) This was a great book. Daniel has such a captivating story, and he did an amazing job coupling every lesson with a personal experience or real-world analogy.
“When’s Happy Hour?” by Betches • Book Review
★★★★ (4 / 5) My expectations for Betches’ new book on careers went something like this: “I’ll breeze through it, learn a little, and maybe enjoy some silly satire.”
But When’s Happy Hour? gave me so much more. I laughed out loud at nearly every page and found their scenarios and suggestions extremely real and relatable.
“Reset” by Ellen Pao • Book Review
“We’re either silent or a buzzkill.”
★★★★★ (5 / 5 stars) Reset tells the true story of Ellen Pao’s experience as a victim of sexual harassment (of varying degrees) from law school to tech startups to the VC world.
“Driven” by Manny Khoshbin • Book Review
“I never forget where I came from. Living in a car and digging through garbage bins makes you try hard and develop the right attitude, which is, ‘Despite the inevitable setbacks, I will never, ever give up. I don’t ever want to go back to that!’”
★★★★ (4 / 5 stars) Manny's new book Driven captivated my heart and tells a rags-to-riches story every entrepreneur and ambitious individual can relate to. His success truly is massive, but his authenticity is even more so.
“Unfiltered” by Jessica Abo • Book Review
“If you can’t imagine your life without something, never stop working for it. No matter where you are in the process, keep your head up.”
★★★★★ (5 / 5 stars) This book isn't just raw, open, and inviting. It is also complete TRUTH. I love how Abo gave real-world examples every step of the way. Some of the worst horror stories of horrible bosses and even worse dates made me feel the most connected to the overall message.
